Easing of restrictions 12th April Squash & Racketball

Hi all!
As we know more restrictions are being eased on the 12th April as we already know tennis is getting back into full flow! England squash released there roadmap guidelines last week and have said that for the first stage of return to squash you will only be allowed to play squash with someone in the same household or solo practice or one to one coaching. Junior coaching on a Saturday will resume from the 12th April also as all juniors are able to play in coach led activities in groups no larger than 15 at a time. The committee have been going through all routes to try get the club open as normal as we possibly can. Due to the restrictions on playing we have made the decision that the club itself will not open fully. Our Squash and Racketball coach Curtis Corby will be available for one to one coaching and we will only be open along side his coaching timetable at the club, we have spoken to Curtis and he is planning on being available every evening however if he isn’t coaching the club will not be open. If you see Curtis has courts booked on the system then you will be able to book a court, if he hasn’t got courts booked you cannot. This will only be until the next phase of the roadmap out of lockdown which is 17th May.

If you are wanting lessons with Curtis then get in touch with him on 07804489605 to book lessons, it’s a great chance to dust off the cobwebs before we can play other people in May!

We would like to add that we as a club are following the guidelines to the letter so please follow the England squash and government guidelines that are in place.

A final note from the committee, we understand that there are people that stopped paying there memberships during the lockdown, if you are one of those members please could you get in touch with Curtis or the committee to let us know whether you plan on starting the membership payments again or whether you don’t plan on returning.

We apologise that we can’t open up fully just yet but we want to reassure you this is only temporary until the next phase, and we thank each and everyone of you for your support through this tough time.

Many thanks
The committee
